PRE-K (AGES 3-5)

Start of the school year

SUPPLY LIST

These items help students engage with a more robust curriculum while maintaining personal hygiene.

- A full-sized backpack (no wheels) that can fit a standard folder and a lunchbox without folding.

- If they are 3 and in pull-ups, you can bring the pullups with snaps on it, not the ones without the snaps. The ages 4-5 should be potty trained already.

- Even if students are fully potty trained, accidents (water table play, spills, or bathroom slips) happen. Provide a full Outfit set in a labeled gallon bag.

Preparing for Pre-K is an exciting milestone! Our goal is to foster a sense of autonomy and confidence in every student. By providing the right tools and encouraging self-help skills—like independent bathroom use and zipping coats—we ensure our classroom remains a focused and fun place for discovery. We ask that all supplies be clearly labeled to help our students take pride in and responsibility for their personal belongings.

  • Self-Care Independence: Being able to use the restroom entirely on their own, including wiping and washing hands.

  • Dressing Skills: Ability to put on their own coat and attempt (or succeed at) zipping it, as well as putting on shoes.

  • Following Directions: The ability to follow two-step instructions (e.g., "Please hang up your bag and come sit on the rug").

  • Basic Communication: Expressing needs clearly and using "big kid" words to resolve minor conflicts with peers.

  • Fine Motor Basics: Attempting to hold a pencil or crayon with a tripod grip rather than a fist.
